Welcome, especially if you’re checking out our website to learn more about First Lutheran Church of Crystal!
I’m constantly impressed in the ways that the priorities of First’s congregation members have been lived out. Our members have been deeply committed to making sure that the NEAR food shelf, Caring and Sharing Hands, and Every Meal - the backpack program providing emergency food support in local schools - have what they need.
During the school year, I lead two weekly Bible studies, each focusing on different aspects of the Bible. I convene a social justice-oriented book group. Children’s ministry happens during worship on Sundays in the chapel.
The best way to find out about our worship is to take a look via our livestream! Our Church Musician strives to provide meaningful music in every worship service. Our services reflect the shape of ELCA Lutheran liturgy. Each Sunday, I seek to preach Biblically-based sermons that connect to the struggles we all face in our everyday life and inspire us to love and care for our neighbors both within the church and in our community, especially our neighbors of diverse races, ethnicities, sexualities, and genders.
