Some Highlights:

Sunday, May 5th: We are very excited and grateful to host Dr. Peter Durow and his choral ensemble From Age to Age. They will be joined by the guest Grammy-winning choral ensemble VOCES8, an acapella octet from England. They are superb! I highly encourage you to check out their website www.voces8.com. There you may listen to samples of their recordings and find out more information. The concert at First Lutheran is at 3:00 PM. It will, I’m sure, be an afternoon full of musical inspiration.

Sunday, May 12: Second Sunday Singers will offer an anthem celebrating Mother’s Day and what this holiday represents in today’s modern world and in the family of God as a whole. We will meet at 8:30 AM sharp before the service for a 45-minute rehearsal. Let us all put our ‘best foot forward’ to make sure we are there in plenty of time to get our music gathered and folders organized, to vocalize at or before 8:30 AM. ALL ARE WELCOME!

This is a great way to have a small taste of those bygone days of the regular church choir from the smallest of parishes to the largest cathedrals. I will send out an email as I know more.
